Born Khalifah Macopson and hailing from the musical city of Los Angeles, California, Khalif, previously known as King Leaf, is a talented recording artist, rapper, singer, songwriter, mixing/mastering engineer, sound designer, music producer, and film composer. With a family tree rooted in music, including a grandfather who was a member of the legendary group “The Temptations” and a mother who was a solo artist signed to Motown Records, it’s no surprise that Khalif started pursuing his passion for music at a young age. At just four years old, Khalif was already jamming with the likes of the legendary Stevie Wonder and touching his first drum set. As he grew older, he taught himself how to produce beats, write records, record himself, as well as mix and master his own music, becoming a true one-stop-shop in the industry.
